Auto repair in the United States is split between independent shops, dealership service departments and national chains. Independents handle most routine work (oil changes, brakes, tune-ups, check-engine diagnostics) at lower labor rates and often specialize in one make or in imports; dealers keep factory tools, software and warranty authority; chains sell speed and standard pricing on maintenance items. Most shops charge a diagnostic fee, credited toward the repair if you go ahead, and quote parts and labor separately. Certification matters: look for ASE-certified technicians and, in many states, a state repair license posted at the counter. Written estimates are required by law in most states before work begins, and you are entitled to your old parts if you ask.

Pensacola is in Florida, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Pensacola follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Honest, reliable and friendly... I could go on and on about the kindness and genuine courtesy that Larry has shown me when my car was in his care. He goes out of his way to get the right parts and he explains every detail so I know what I'm paying for. Kudos to Larry and his staff at Adkison's for being there!!

I originally ordered a U-Haul over by corry station for my military move, U-Haul called me the day before and set me up somewhere else in Milton. The owner called me and told me they gave me the wrong directions and he’d be handling my U-Haul needs. He had NONE of the equipment I needed the day before, and went out on his own time and brought it all to his work place. Extremely polite, progressional, and timely. Every U-Haul need should go through him in the Pensacola area.

Could not have asked for a better experience for a U-Haul rental. Larry was so friendly and helpful. Made sure to inspect and review everything with me and was very flexible with my pickup. He went the extra mile to ensure wiper blades and straps were brand new and really took care of us for this move. Cannot recommend enough

Larry has been my go-to mechanic for 5 years now since he was referred by a friend. He always makes time to get me on the schedule even when I’m just in town for a visit since moving last year from pensacola. He’s always friendly and goes above and beyond, even if I just stop in to have my tires checked and oil topped off on the way out of town. Just two weeks ago, my ‘check engine’ light came on, I needed a tune up (coils and spark plugs replaced) he was able to take care of it right away and then refer me to someone he trusted to work on the transmission. There were further issues after the transmission was fixed and Larry was able to get me back in to clean out the carburetor, add fuel injection fluid and replace battery and windshield wiper as well as make sure tires and oil were good. His staff is wonderful, he is always thorough with his work, I don’t go to anyone else unless it’s something he can’t work on! He also rents Uhaul trucks and was able to set me up when I moved last summer. He made it easy for pick up and handled everything for me to return the truck in Nola. Larry is hands down the best mechanic around! I highly recommend his small business that’s been around fo
